PTHs
This is a list of the known Pagan Tea Houses. Or at least the ones I’m aware of. If you’re a leader or member of a Pagan Tea House somewhere out there on the Internet and your PTH isn’t listed here, give me a yell so I can add your information. - Wicasta

i was an old school AOL pther from back in the 90′s when we paid by the minute. everything you’ve said about the various pth’s is tooo true. cliquish, self-devouring cesspools of internet chat. it’s amazing how much pain can be doled out from across the nation at 14kbps.
good luck in getting this thing running.
Aaaaa! I frequented the AOL PTH from the mid-nineties until the early aughts, I miss it dearly! I don’t miss some of the foolishness that went on towards the end there, but I do miss the people. Anyone remember me? I’m still Dinkophele- I’d love to hear from you…..
I was on AOL pth overflow mainly. i would love to talk to some of those folks again.
I was a member of AOL’s PTH and then a RBCF/Host over in the Pagan chat rooms… but that was a LONG time ago… I miss all those folk. They became friends and family. It’s great to see that they are not forgotten…
So you rember Damacena, she was a friend So sad I was to see her pass How about Lady Bast or Basshtet And Varian of course, all echos from my past….
I rediscovered irc/efnet today, after ?# years. These days SL and gtalk keep me in touch with my peeps – but it was pth that got me started. Names I used to type so often that they still leap readily to the tip of my fingers: Damascena, AlexMcC, treetoad, cub22, anathena…and others who’ve been RAM dumped (but maybe not overwritten).
Speaking of memory, it was wholly different world, of course – maybe 91? 93? My pc was a wind-up model, I think. Everything was sarif, and there was no sheriff…pth was always on guard against a channel war, and we were wary of eggdrop bots and net splits. But Dama was handing out the cybertropic tea there, there on the cusp of the New Frontier; and – for me – that was the already tread-worn doorstep of the pagan_tea_house. Good times. Sigh.
/me swypes a digit across the screen of his droid and sends a new line of text into a tea house that still smells faintly of psychedelic cookies…
I’m happy to discover this site, the efnet channel, and irc, for the hundredth time. Maybe I’ll stay, maybe I’ll go – but I won’t ever forget. It’s where I came from.
So perhaps #pagan_tea_house isn’t really dead; because something is truly dead when the world stops bothering to mention or mourn it’s demise.

Was in the PTH on AOL from around ’93 to about 96-97, after the big push to IRC.
